recreate health in VR experience

about

VISIT A FOREST ON VR. BREATHE. OPEN ALL YOUR SENSES. THIS IS THE HEALING WAY OF SHINRIN-YOKU FOREST THERAPY,  THE MEDICINE OF SIMPLY BEING IN THE FOREST.

Shinrin-yoku is a term that means “taking a bath in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing.” It was developed in Japan during the 1980s and has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Researchers primarily in Japan and South Korea have established a robust body of scientific literature on the health benefits of spending time under the canopy of a living forest. Now their research is helping to establish shinrin-yoku and forest therapy throughout the world.

Escape reality in VR and find your how you can experiences new and exciting places without leaving the comfort of your home.

We have developed experiences so you can meditate in the forest, climb mountains or see loved ones. For lowest technical barrier we use browser based WebGT technology and the Mozilla framework A-Frame. If you already use a common smartphone of any OS supporting WebGL you are ready to go! As a fallback we provide a fullscreen experience by using the cellphone as a window or if you have a cardboard touch the cardboard icon on the bottom right corner and use your phone in the cardboard for the full VR experience.

This is a fictitious company and product developed for the 2016 hackathon hacklikeagirl.co. If you are interested in developing the product further, please get in touch with us under www.digitalpraxis.de.
